Rant? What’s the point? Too much I want to say, but it’s been said by everyone else.

Punix-GT 9/26/2011 Staring Contest

So this wasn’t exactly a hilarious comic, but a cute play on words, and deep thoughts.

I’ve always had a fascination with stars for as long as I can remember, looking at them, stared at the moon, solar and lunar eclipses, always tried to make sure I got to see the Perseid Meteor shower every year. I may not have memorized the whole star maps, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be a total fan of the universe. I’m incredibly ready for space-travel and colonizing the moon/mars, even though we’re not quite at that technological point yet and I’m sure there are also millions of other people who have the same thought as I.

Whether or not there are any alien life, it doesn’t matter to me, although the thought of sharing the universe is rather appealing to me. I enjoy looking at the stars and the complexity of our scientific world, even the complex structure of something we all know as the periodical table. Its hard to imagine that those elements just so happen to exist. Its just another ponder-able thought.

Punix-GT 9/4/2011 Passing By

Holy Crap! I can do rants now! Ok, I’ve always had the ability to do rants, I just didn’t know how to do it until now.

Sorry for the intense delay for the comic. Its been a couple of months I’m aware. So that you understand that I haven’t had the ability to finish any of the comics, you’d have to understand that these past several months were focused on other priorities that involves family and finances. Its been very rough but I think its starting to settle down now.

As for the comic, I figure I would start using the rant space to focus on the comic itself with thoughts and discussion on the topic or the drawing itself.

This comic didn’t quite come out the way I wanted it to. Primarily due to the fact that the conversation bubble of Trevor’s was supposed to be bigger and blank until the bottom. However, it would have covered up too much space in the rest of the comic strip itself. I was trying to prevent it from making it look like Trevor was a mime and that was not my intention. I do think my comics are looking better as I feel I’m getting a little more proficient with gimp. Coloring is taking longer though due to more details in my drawings. I suppose this is part of the evolution of my comics, but it can be a little overwhelming at times.  But that will not stop me from making more comics. In all honesty, I’ll probably be doing this comic for a while.

I have also decided to do some side projects lately. I’m making some attempt to create some video game music remixes to submit to http://www.ocremix.org but it’ll be a little bit daunting due to the complexity of some of these music programs that are available. I’ve also been working on some individual drawings whether anatomically,  inanimate, or landscaping to help further with some minor issues with my creations. Proportions are still a bit challenging although not as much as it used to be. Backgrounds are becoming a bit more complex. I’ll also be trying to work with perspective angles. I’ll still have my unique style of faces, but will be trying to be more realistic with the rest of the comic.  And you may have noticed that I don’t have very many females on my strip. I won’t lie, I can’t draw females very well as their center of balance is a bit different than males. With my side projects, I hope that that will help fix this issue.

I do apologize for the lack of comics lately, but hopefully I’ll be able to spend some more time coloring them and become faster and proficient with Gimp.
